    Frontier Markets (FM) is a sales and service distribution company focused on the provision of affordable clean energy products to rural India. FM educates local stakeholders about solar solutions while building consensus to address electricity needs. In the framework of the 'smart villages' concept, FM has built, since 2011, 400 retail points, 4 service centers, 1,000 solar sahelis and has provided over 68,000 solutions ranging from lanterns to street lights. FM is committed to partnering with government and NGOs to showcase integrated models in every village including scaling training on the ground in 4 States of India to alleviate by 2019 the challenges caused by electricity inequity in 10 million households. It is also committed to ensure globally scaling through partnerships in 4 countries.
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

    FM builds village networks through the training of local retailers and a robust after-sales service model with trained women responsible for checking and repairing products on the ground creating income generation which is tracked by mobile technology.
