    Description

"Ahorrate un Chorro" is a program seeking water-use efficiency within the residential sector in more than 45 vulnerable neighbourhoods in Monterrey, Mexico by the exchange of conventional shower heads for efficient ones. The program launched on november 2022 with a pilot phase with a scope of 5,000 shower heads. It is currently during the implementation of phase 1 with a scope of 20,000 additional shower heads to be exchanges during the first semester of 2023.

    Expected Impact

Projected water saving of 540 million liters per year (142,668,428 gallons per year) through the exchange of 25,000 conventional shower heads for efficient ones in 2023, considering that one person takes a 10-minute shower/day.
