EUCLID University SDG Action Plan
Description
These commitments relate to EUCLID's initiatives in:
- Global health education
- Sustainable Development education
- Scholarship programs for LDCs and Small Island States.
For 3d, EUCLID will expand its training opportunity in International Public Health / Global Health. This will include: full and partial scholarships for the MIPH program as well as implementable research.
For 4.7, EUCLID will continue to implement UN Global Compact and UN PRME principles, and also further align its program curricula with the UN SDGs. EUCLID will also support Mayors and Cities for Interfaith Harmony and continue to support (as in 2016) the UN World Interfaith Harmony Week.
For 4.b, EUCLID will continue to increase the number of full scholarships offered to the officials of its Participating States, notably in the most relevant fields of study. This will require careful budget planning to reduce overhead as well as increasing available funding for proper allocation.
Capacity-Building and Technology Transfer will be formalized and implement on an as-needed basis.
This initiative will be governed at the level of the EUCLID Secretary General (overall coordination), EUCLID Under Secretary-General in New York (coordination with UNA/NY and select Permanent Missions), and EUCLID International Faculty Coordinator (academic management). EUCLID will notably use its Banjul (Gambia) and Bangui (Central African Republic) offices for local coordination with institutions of higher education, NGO and government bodies.
