ECLAC and GIZ

    Description
    Description
This partnership is the area of energy efficiency and renewable energy and focuses on support for the development of national energy policies as well as identification of fiscal and regulatory barriers to implementation of energy efficiency initiatives and renewable energy technologies. The recommendations of the reports were utilised by Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in preparation of the national assessment reports that informed the Caribbean Regional Synthesis Report that was presented in Jamaica at the regional preparatory meeting in 2013. This partnership will be strengthened through the initial planning activities to provide support in the development of energy indicators for Caribbean SIDS.
