Our work consists in working the aesthetic visibility and representativeness of black children and adolescents, victims of racism in the school space, in order to empower them, leaving the situation of victim to protagonists of their stories. Our main actions are: nin order to rescue the children's self-esteem, as well as appreciation of their parents' speech, so as to contribute to the emotional health of their children.
to promote the empowerment of black children and adolescents, victims of racism or not through aesthetic and representative visibility, in all the social context in which the school space is inserted.
Initially, I did a photo session of my son and posted on social networks showing my indignation, several parents began to ask for help with their children victims of racism. I then also marked a photo essay through social networks, and so the project was born. Since then, the idea has been spreading, and only using social networks, we have been able to mobilize more children and parents for new rehearsals, adding 05 essays in the year 2018, we made from the photos produced an outstanding photographic exhibition, that already left the city from Campinas, to the city of Passos in the South of Minas. nAll the logistics of this work, such as used equipment, and part of the financial resource used was own resource, also having help from friends, family and merchants who helped to buy T-shirts, and other necessary inputs. Partnerships are being made to make feasible the beginning of the workshops, also partnership with fashion agencies and other companies that may offer space for the integration of adolescents in the labor market or vocational courses. We are also developing custom design products such as shirts, mugs, pants, dressing gowns, dresses, skirts and other pieces intended for commercialization in order to obtain financial resources that guarantee the sustainability of the project
Working the challenge of blacks, Indians and other minorities to occupy prominent positions in the field of work, education, culture and others is urgent, eminent, costs little and has a great impact on the lives of direct beneficiaries. These groups do not want anything different than what they are: Respect, understanding, gentleness, visibility and representativeness and that is why our action exists.
