Buksh Foundation (2nd SE4All Forum Commitments)
Description
6,750 individuals will directly benefit from the initiative, having the number risen to 33,750, if we consider those indirectly affected. The project will represent an important tool for empowering women, ensuring a 15-20% increase in their income, better quality in their education, better health and safety conditions. This will positively affect the stability of the local community. Furthermore, thanks to the support of NBP, innovative financial inclusion will be a key outcome.
50 pairs of rural energy entrepreneurs (male & female) will be trained along with 50 technical officers in total. Each village will be equipped with a solar charging station for 50 IFC-certified solar lanterns, solar mobile stations able to recharge 250 mobile phones per day, technical and non-technical training, along with community awareness campaigns.
