Hungary (
Government
)
#SDGAction51277
    Description
    Description

    The connection rate to public water supply is 95% in Hungary. The high rate of access to public utilities is an asset but also a responsibility to leave no one behind. In 2016, Hungary has already assessed the status of access to water and sanitation using the Equitable access scorecard to water and sanitation, developed in the framework of the Protocol on Water and Health. Hungary commits to repeat the assessment of the current situation to take stock of the progress since 2016 and to develop action plan to improve access, especially in vulnerable and marginalised groups.

    Expected Impact

    Situation assessment and action planning will assist reaching SDG 6 by 2030.

    6.4.1

    Change in water-use efficiency over time

    6.4.2

    Level of water stress: freshwater withdrawal as a proportion of available freshwater resources
