The governance of the initiative will happen in the following manner: 1) Information leaflets carrying details of the ASAY program and its significance will be prepared by Anaadi Foundation 2) Host educational institutions will be contacted to get their consent to offer the program 3) Program content with training material will be prepared jointly by Anaadi Foundation and EduSeva Technologies 4) Volunteers from both the organizations will offer the ASAY program in various institutions 5) The program outcomes from the hands-on activity will be filed and documented 6) Participants will draw up a plan to implement the explored solutions 7) Participants will be able to communicate their learnings and challenges while implementing the solutions.
The capacity building of volunteers who handle the program will be done internally at Anaadi Foundation. The outcomes from the program in the form of charts, diagrams, and participant reports will be documented and selected work will be showcased on the website.
The ASAY program will be delivered in the form of workshops at various educational institutions. The workshop will blend lecture sessions, discussions, video screening and hands-on QA activity. The key objectives of the workshop are: 1. To expose children to the impact of consumption on the environment 2. To inform and educate about the harmful impacts of over-consumption 3. To jointly explore the individual consumption patterns along various dimensions: Food, Energy, Water etc 4. Work on real-world consumption problems through simulated learning 5. Explore and evolve relevant solutions to identified problems. The lecture sessions will aim at giving the children an overall exposure to the SDGs and specific orientation to Goal 12 : Sustainable Consumption and Production. The activity session will involve group problem-solving activities. The key aspect of the ASAY program will be to deconstruct the consumption problems to specific issues that students can relate to. These identified problems will be deconstructed further to identify specific causes and consequences. SMART solutions will be proposed. <br />
