African Development Bank - AfDB (2nd SE4All Forum Commitments)

    Description
    Description
Since 2013, the African Development Bank (AfDB) hosted SE4ALL Africa Hub in partnership with the AU, NEPAD, and UNDP with a mission to facilitate the implementation of the SE4ALL initiative in Africa, developed key guidance documents on SE4ALL country action, such as the Action Agenda template, and promoted coherence and consistency of SE4All country actions across the continent.

The Bank has been directly supporting several African countries with the development of the SE4LLL Action Agenda and Investment Prospectuses, such as Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Rwanda. In 2015, the Bank will support Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe with Action Agendas and Investment Prospectuses. The Bank is launching a Green Mini-Grid Africa - Market Development Programme and several Mini-Grid Country Support Programmes that will contribute to addressing the barriers that hinder more widespread deployment of Green Mini-Grids in Africa.
