Introduction of \'Sustainability Talk series\' enables Industry veterans workshop and interaction to promote sustainable aqua farming practices in India. \r\n\r\nAqua Connects \'Sustainability Talk series\' promotes the focuses on topics on sustainable production of seafood, training and employment in the rural region of Tamilnadu And Andhra. This will be supported through our partnering with regional and government institutes.\r\n\r\nOur first \'Sustainability Talk series\' workshop on the Challenges and Opportunities in Indian Shrimp Aqua farming was conducted on 25th Nov 2017 in Chidambaram, Tamilnadu. One of the Veteran Aqua farming technicians Dr. Elan Cheran conducted a workshop with our Research Analysts and partners on the best practices in the Vannamei Shrimp Aqua farming industry.\r\n\r\nOn our Second Series, We invited Aquafarming expert Mr.Govindaraj, General Manager - HiTide Sea farms to speak to speak on the topic, Understanding the needs of Aqua farmers and the approach to addressing their concerns. He spoke on responsible aquaculture practices that provide a reliable alternative to wild catch and ensures affordable nutritious food for communities throughout the region. The discussion also focused on how technology enabled farming practices are promoting sustainability locally and internationally. \r\n\r\nAbout Aqua Connect - \'Aqua Connect\' provides an Omni-channel Marketplace for Aqua farmers to overcome the current information asymmetry prevalent between the various stakeholders of the aquaculture ecosystem. We help \r\n Locating good quality seeds from hatcheries for the aqua farmers,\r\n Sell all the inputs like feed, chemicals, minerals, pro-biotics for the culture at optimum rates through our e-commerce portal, and\r\n Creating a transparent market for their harvest by connecting them to the exporters.\r\n Our On-field research analyst work hand-in- hand with the farmers in providing technical guidance on sustainable farming practices to help them in improving their processes and hence increase both their production and the productivity.\r\n\r\n\r\n
