Background
The SIDS4 Civil Society Forum was held on 29 May 2024, as an informal special event in connection with the SIDS4 Conference. It was an opportunity to rally and mobilize civil society, including indigenous peoples, women’s organizations and stakeholder groups to highlight their contributions to the sustainable development of SIDS and to share reflections, priorities and announce commitments towards the implementation of the SIDS4 outcome document.
The meeting was opened to civil society organizations, UN Member States, UN entities, inter-governmental organizations and other stakeholders registered to attend the SIDS4 Conference.
