Background
Workshop objectives:
A) Increase the awareness of key Chilean stakeholders in relation to the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development, including understanding the interdisciplinary nature of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how organizations and professionals must adapt and commit to achieve sustainable development comprehensively
B) Provide a space for dialogue so that key actors and officials identify challenges to achieve meaningful participation and sustainable development of Chilean society in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and address the preparation of the 2017 National Voluntary Review of Chile
C) Provide the opportunity to take advantage of the experience acquired in the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) of 2016 and strategic links to identify the best practices, gaps, challenges, opportunities and lessons learned both in the preparation of the VNR and in the presentations at the HLPF.
Expected results:
The workshop seeks to strengthen the capacities of the participants to influence and accompany the monitoring and review processes in Chile of the 2030 Agenda, including the presentation of the Voluntary National Report of the country before the HLPF 2017, in July of this year; and develop a strategy to enhance their mechanisms of coordination in the national and subnational context, within the framework of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
