Background
This workshop will focus on capacity building for Major Groups on lobbying at Rio+20, the current state of negotiations and the outcome document, and will provide a platform for introducing the Organizing Partners of the Major Groups to the rest of the Major Groups participants in the conference. It will also focus on preparing Major Groups to engage with the high-level and plenary segments of the Rio+20 Conference that follow the conclusion of the Preparatory Committee, as well as in the follow-up process and the role that non-state and civil society actors will play in implementing the outcomes of Rio+20.
