Background
This event was organized by the UN Foundation, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea.
The meeting brought together experts and stakeholders with the aim of increasing awareness of the rapid rise and effect of ocean acidification on marine life and ecosystems and stressed the need to reach out beyond the scientific community to the media and education systems.
