Background
The UN 2023 Water Conference is the Midterm Comprehensive Review of the implementation of the UN Decade for Action on “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018 – 2028. The UN 2023 Water Conference is scheduled to take place at UN Headquarters in New York from 22 to 24 March 2023. It is the first UN Conference that focuses on water since 1977 and is a pivotal moment to accelerate water action to achieve not only Sustainable Development Goal 6 on water and sanitation, but also frameworks such as the Paris Agreement, the Sendai Framework and Our Common Agenda.
The Expert-level Briefings on the Concept Papers for the UN 2023 Water Conference Interactive Dialogues will take place virtually from 9:00 to 11:30 EST on Tuesday, 28 February 2023, and from 9:00 to 11:00 EST on Thursday, 2 March 2023.
