Statement to the UN High Level Political Forum
Ensuring that No One is Left Behind: Reaching the most vulnerable
By
Jack Moss Executive Director of AquaFed, member of the Global Business Alliance for the 2030 Agenda, coordinated by the International Chambers of Commerce.

I would like to draw attention in this discussion to the role of water and SDG6. Water pollution is every bit if not more dangerous than air pollution. IN a water stressed world, water pollution makes scare usable water even scarcer.
Polluted water kills and debilitates.
Lack of water and sanitation keeps girls out of school and women out of jobs.
When water services are absent or fail it is women who suffer the most.
Mr President, I know that you wear another hat in the UN, that of Chair of UN Water. I can assure you that we want to help you to educate gatherings like this of the vital importance of water in all its aspects of meeting the SDG’s and eliminating inequalities.
Thank you
