Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela
19 July 2019
Distinguished Co-Chairs:
Thank you all for your dedication and thank you colleagues.
Our delegation aligns with the statement made by G77 and China.
I have the honor to speak on behalf of Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela - we would like to thank you for guiding us, for challenging us and for moving this process forward. We would also like to thank the Secretariat for their tireless efforts. We have all been working in a very good spirit for over 13 sessions.
Co-Chairs, we would like to refer the editorial mistake in paragraph 10 of the chapeau, regarding the reference to middle income countries, which was in the previous version and is no longer here. It is the agreed language from paragraph 32 of Rio + 20.
In my national position we share the concerns conveyed by delegations regarding: targets 5.6, 14.c, and 13.b.
Notwithstanding, we can go along with your proposal to forward the OWG report to the General Assembly.
Thank you!
