Global Partnership and means of implementation

Thank you Mr Co-facilitator,
As we have previously stated, we must ensure coherence and avoid duplication between the post-2015 and Financing for Development processes.
Australia looks to the Addis Outcome to comprehensively deliver the means of implementation pillar for the post-2015 development agenda. We have confidence that Addis will incorporate all the necessary financial and non-financial means of implementation to realise our collective ambition for the post-2015 agenda.
And echoing the points just raised by Japan, it is not for us to reopen discussion on issues which will be agreed by our leaders at Addis in just three weeks’ time.
Post Addis, we are confident that our document will be able to reflect this by reaffirming fully the Addis Outcome.
In addition, our document must speak to our commitment to a revitalised Global Partnership that draws in all stakeholders, public and private.
It should speak to how we will collectively deliver the new agenda and our commitment to find the most effective ways of delivering results.
It must speak to a revitalised Global Partnership that supports national ownership of development priorities and focuses on development outcomes including through mutual accountability, shared responsibility, transparency and cooperation.
Thank you.
