Publication Year: 2025 Publisher: UNITED NATIONSBackground
Renewable energy can be a driver of job creation. According to IRENA’s most recent assessment, the renewable energy sector employed 16.2 million people, worldwide, in 2023. In addition, there would be around 68 million jobs in energy efficiency access to energy-linked jobs, especially in underserved regions.
