Description
At Forte Village, we firmly believe that the success of a company is not only measured by profits but also by the positive impact it generates in the community where it operates. Our commitment to social responsibility is reflected through numerous fundraising initiatives aimed at supporting significant social causes and improving the quality of life for those in need. In 2020, the waiting list to get a mammogram at the Oncology Hospital was almost two years. These times could only be reduced by introducing new machinery so we decided to start our first found raising , and in 18 months , thanks to teamwork with other important local entities, we have donated a new mammograph to the Radiology Department of Businco Hospital, the oncology hospital in Cagliari. The new mammograph did it’s first exam on October 20, 2022.We are proud to report that over 3,000 examinations have been performed to date. Building on this success, we launched a new fundraising campaign in October 2023 aimed at acquiring a fully-equipped mobile clinic with state-of-the-art equipment for mammography and ultrasound screenings. The camper will travel around the island, making free screening tests to all women, starting from the ones living in remote areas far from hospital facilities.Specifically, the camper will be equipped with a Planmed Clarity™ 3D Digital Mammography System with Tomosynthesis, an innovative technology that, with the help of doctors and healthcare professionals, allows the acquisition of clear images capable of highlighting even the most delicate structures and microcalcifications. The ultrasound machine, a Samsung HM 70 EVO, is a high-performance system that offers exceptionally fast workflow and high-resolution imaging. Additionally, the camper will be equipped with an ultrasound, a reporting room, an access ramp for people with disabilities, internet connection, sanitization system, and defibrillator. our goal is to provide up to 3.000 exam per year.
Events are held every months from October 2023 to reach the goal at the end of 2024. Each events has different operational and communications set up coordinated by the commitee together with all the differents partners. 12.10.2023 - Press Conference to present the project

The project will facilitate knowledge sharing across the region and beneficiaries through several activies: 1. Workshops and Talk Sessions: Organizing workshops and talk sessions where experts and doctors can share their knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to importance of doing screening tests to prevent cancers. 2. Networking Events: Hosting networking events that bring together professionals, organizations, and individuals involved in the project or working in related fields. These events will foster connections, collaborations, and the exchange of ideas and information. 3. Partnerships and Collaborations: Forming partnerships with other organizations, institutions, and industry stakeholders to leverage their expertise and resources. Collaborative projects will make the final goal more accessible. By implementing these strategies, the project will create a dynamic ecosystem of knowledge sharing, collaboration, and innovation, ultimately driving positive outcomes for the industry, the Region and beneficiaries involved
In order to guarantee maximum transparency and maximum social impact, a solidarity committee “Sardegna in Rosa “ has been set up which coordinates and manages all fundraising activities related to the project. The committee is made up of representatives of some of the main companies involved and some volunteers. The committee develops the programming of the events and follows the management of their communication and their operational implementation. Manages relationships with organizations and companies that support the project and ensures that all the donations are transparent. Furthermore, the committee ensures that the planned activities allow us to achieve the objective of closing the found raising by December 2024 in oreder to have the mobile clinic on the road from January 2025.Another focus of the commitee is raising awareness about the significance of preventive health screenings. Educating individuals about these screenings can lead to early disease detection, improved health outcomes, and ultimately, can save lives. Utilize media, social media, organize seminars, workshop and informative sessions in communities to disseminate the educational messages and the importance of regular screenings.
The strenght of the project are its accessibility. First of all having a fully-equipped mobile clinic that can travel throughout the region ,make screening tests easily accessible even in the most disadvantaged areas far from hospital centers. Secondly, the completely free nature of the exams makes them accessible even to people who could not afford the cost.
