ROAD SAFETY ACADEMY

    at the end of this program, the following achievements shall be recorded



    - a safe behaviour base attitude for drivers ,

    -public awareness on road safety ,

    -respect for pedestrains and other vulnerable road user

    -development of adequate road safety policies by government

    -unsafe road practices (distractions) etc etc

    -lunching of a quarterly free occupational safety journal to maintain awareness
    Expected Impact

    this project will be implemented in phases :<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>phase 1 will consist of production of road safety awareness signs /pictograms and pasted them all over major towns and high ways in Cameroon, to create more public awareness,<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>phase 2 : shall consist of productions and distribution of road safety sensitization campaigns materials such as T-shirts, stickers, tracks, and hand outs in travelling agencies, companies, major road junctions and high ways in the country<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>phase 3: <br />
    <br><br />
    <br>-radio / tv debates and discussion forums on major subject matters of the road safety academy campaigns<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>- organisations of road safety competitions in basic and secondary educational establishment as to create and promote awareness among children.<br />

    Capacity

    capacity building and technological transfer shall be achieved through the following areas<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>organisation of road safety / safe driving workshops in travelling agencies and companies<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>production of hand outs and tracks <br />
    <br><br />
    <br>pasting of road safety awareness pictograms /signs on major high ways, road junction,towns and cities.<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>organisation of road safety educational compititions in basic eductional /secondry institutions in the ten regions of cameroon<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>radio /tv debate and discussion forums

    Governed

    in accordance with our organigram, the executive board of cadva shall be the main supervisory team to ensure the management and supervision of the projects,<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>mean while our regional coordinators shall be the main supervisors on the field coordinating the activities of volunteers at their respective regions, <br />
    <br><br />
    <br><br />
    <br>more so, an expert firm shall be assisting the executive board to ensure adequate accountability ,as well as respect of budgetary lines.<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>field coordinating meetings shall be initiated under the coordination of the national coordinator of the projects to assess and evaluate achievements as well as initiate corrective measures as to ensure compliance,<br />
    <br><br />
    <br>managerial documentary procedures shall be elaborate to ensure a daily effective control and supervision is maintained<br />
