Radical Ecological Democracy Peoples' Sustainability Treaty
Description
This is a joint initiative of several organisations and networks; the ideas and learnings that are part of this process will feed into the activities each of these organisations and networks is involved in, e.g. practical, policy, and conceptual elements of the Radical Ecological Democracy framework will be integrated into networks and platforms of environment education, human rights advocacy, community natural resource governance initiatives, and so on. The learnings from these will in turn feed back into the RED Treaty process, continuing to help evolve the collective vision of and steps towards an alternative future.
Primarily through information exchange, occasionally the exchange of personnel, and where possible capacity workshops at international events.
The two originating organisations, Kalpavriksh and Poloc, will continue to coordinate the further development and implementation of the Treaty, acting as a hub of communication and joint activities, but not attempting to dictate the activities of individual member organisations.
