Description
Norway has committed to lead the correspondence group for the work on the revision of the Guidelines for the Control and Management of Ships' Biofouling to Minimize the Transfer of Invasive Aquatic Species (2011). The aim is to increase uptake and effectiveness of the Guidelines, to make sure that its aim of reducing the risk for introduction of invasive aquatic species is ensured, while also reducing CO2 emissions through reduction of fuel used by ships with clean hull.
