    Description
    Description
Water is a critical resource and its accessibility will define the Future We Want in India and the world. IYWC India Program as part of the decade long Rio India effort aims to inspire Indian citizens, especially students, into Water Cooperation related actions through education programs and workshops.

IYWC India coordinators will spread the message of Water Cooperation & Sustainable Development and encourage participation in the program. They will act as facilitators of the message of Water & SD between IARC and the participants. They will conduct workshops if need be and encourage action.

    Capacity

IYWC India Program has Rain-Water Harvesting as a major focal point. It will petition to the government to make it mandatory for academic institutes and encourage participants to become leaders in their own neighborhoods to implement Rain-Water Harvesting. Details of Experts and Organizations dealing in Rain-Water will be gathered and shared at a national level.

    Governed

IYWC India Program will be managed by IARC Education & Outreach Division through a team of coordinators spread across India.
