200 families of coal miners would be checked and diagnosed for the chronic diseases and health issues caused by mining.
Implementation of the Project/Activity
The students of Sri Devaraj Urs medical college are going to organize a day long Free Medical camp in the village Champion reef, kolar gold fields (KGF) on 13 th June 2012 from 10am onwards and medicines would be distributed to the needy for free.
Specialist consultants from the departments like medicine , surgery, gyarnocology, surgery paediatrics etc will be screening the patients wine the help of around 100 final year Students of the college.
The camp is aimed at helping the villagers ofChampion reef which is inhabited by the previously coal miner families who are suspected to be suffering from various endemic diseases due to the previous mining activity In the area.
