    Implementation of the Project/Activity

The Earth Charter Center on Education For Sustainable Development with help of GRI will offer training programme on sustainability principles and reporting

The purpose of this program is to build the capacity of higher education students, professionals and private sector executives. This education program will use the Earth Charter as vision and framework to deepen the understanding of the learners on what is sustainability and will train participants to use the GRI reporting. The program aims to be a transformative experience, to empower the learners to be change agents towards sustainability and have the skills to undertake proper sustainability reporting.

This education program will be conducted in English and Spanish by the Earth Charter Center for Education for Sustainable Development, based at the University for Peace campus in partnership with GRI. This Center has developed curricula on the vision and practice of sustainability and is hosting, together with the University for Peace, the newly established UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainability with the Earth Charter. GRI will support the EC Center for ESD by providing guidance, the materials and expertise on the topics related to the GRI Framework for sustainability reporting.
