Chinese NGOs' Initiative on Promoting Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development

    Description
    Description
It is our expectation and sincere hope that this Conference give full consideration to the difficulties faced by developing countries and show respect to the decision-making rights of all nations in sustainable development, and will, therefore, give strong impetus to the world economic, social and environmental development in a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable manner.
    Implementation of the Project/Activity

Chinese NGOs are resolved to exert our efforts for the success of the Conference in light of its theme a green economy in the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication.

We are deeply concerned about the poverty issues around the world and the imbalance of poverty reduction efforts made by different countries since the beginning of the century. We feel grieved to those impoverished. We are also concerned about the deteriorating relationship between man and nature and are opposed to such pursuit of socio-economic growth at the cost of the natural resources system.

We propose that national governments, the United Nations and NGOs from across the globe build up closer ties and cooperation, support one another and make joint efforts to push forward the cause of global poverty reduction and sustainable development.

We are committed to sharing our experience and effective practice of poverty reduction with other countries, while keeping an open mind in our determined efforts for global sustainable development.
