Southern Islands Biodiversity Survey
Achievement at a glance
Due to COVID-19, the scale of this project had to be scaled down and the symposium cancelled. However, despite these disruptions, the project was able to proceed. Prior to this survey, the terrestrial biodiversity of Singapore’s Southern Islands was poorly studied. This project served to fill in this knowledge gap, as well as compile a database of marine species records for the area. The project also provided some baseline knowledge of marine species of poorly surveyed islands, such as Pulau Salu and Pulau Biola.Challenges faced in implementation
