We seek the attention of the USAID, USIP,UNSDGs and Peacekeeping Training Programme Unit of UN Division for Peace to adopt the Initiatives of our organization. USAID,USIP and the UN Division for Peace Unit who contributes to the international community’s efforts towards the peaceful resolution of conflicts and the building of lasting peace. Recognising that peace is a prerequisite for the achievement of the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, USAID, USIP and PTPU supports the development of capacities in the areas of conflict prevention, negotiation, mediation and reconciliation, restoration of the rule of law, preventing and countering violent extremism, youth and women empowerment, as well as enhancing the peacemaking capacities of minorities, indigenous peoples’ representatives and those who often face marginalization to “leave no one behind.” Through innovative and results-oriented approaches, the Programme Unit strengthens knowledge and skills of individuals, groups, and institutions...this is exactly what IIPSC stand for. the Partnership will afford us Funding Support for the efficacy of this project.
In alignment with the Agenda 2030 as well as IIPSC's strategic vision, the Youth and Women’s Empowerment pillar within IIPSC’s Division for Peace contributes to Nigeria in which young people as well as women are able to participate in and contribute to, on an equal base and at all levels, to the sustaining peace agenda.

USIP Suggested Alternative Ways to Measure Peace in Nigeria.

When measured by the death toll, Nigeria seems beset by violence. By some accounts, the COVID-19 pandemic has made experiences of violence even more common — notably, Nigeria recorded a 169% increase in abductions between 2019 and 2020. While quantifying violence is relatively straightforward, defining what peace means to ordinary Nigerians has been largely overlooked, even if such definitions may be more meaningful. By exploring more nuanced understandings of peace, how these vary between and across communities, and finding which indicators of peace are most valued, peace might be better pursued. We went in search of how people in the states of Bauchi, Kaduna, Nasarawa,Taraba,Benue,Kogi,Borno,Yobe,Niger and Plateau define peace. Here are six of our most important findings.the hypothesis is equal to zero. no peace,no hope and no trust in Government.

UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCILS
On 9 December, 2015, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2250 - its first-ever resolution on Youth, Peace and Security - thereby recognising the importance of the positive contributions which young people are making for the maintenance and promotion of international peace and security. Furthermore, it affirmed the important role that youth need to assume in the prevention and resolution of conflicts and called for the engagement of youth as partners and leaders at all levels of decision-making and peacebuilding processes. Since then, progress studies such as “The Missing Peace” and the two subsequent resolutions (UNSCR 2419 and UNSCR 2535), have called for additional measures to increase the influence and participation of youth in peacebuilding processes. Specifically, The Missing Peace urges the international community to “invest in the capacities, agency and leadership of young people”. It has thus become clear that education, training and capacity building of both youth and their counterparts at local, national and regional levels are essential to translate the resolutions on Youth, Peace and Security from the halls of the United Nations to policymakers, actors and change-agents at the ground level.
Over the recent years, IIPSC has consolidated its offer in the thematic area of Youth Empowerment. Recognising the synergies between the SDGs (in particular SDGs 4, 5, 7, 10, 16 and 17) and in line with the priorities of the Youth, Peace and Security agenda, IIPSC supports youth and youth counterparts by developing capacities of individuals, organisations and institutions to enhance youths’ potential to meet their communities most pressing peacebuilding needs.
We therefore, request for Partnership and Support to enable us carry out this Nation Building Agenda enshrined in the UN-SDGS 2030 which IIPSC is ready to consolidate the vision and mission.
SOLUTIONS-NIGERIA
IIPSC understood the root causes of Conflicts and disputes in Nigeria. There are different factors that responsible for the outbreak of violence. for instance; the recent killing of over 200 people and over 500 Displaced in Plateau State as at 20th-27th December 2023 was politically masterminded. One of the things we should do is to Begin with "reorientation" to the Youths, of course they are fighting injustice and marginalization, but they are better way of doing it.
IIPSC have design a Programme for 2024 Peacebuilding Initiative, and we shall itemized them accordingly, all we need now is collaboration, synergy, Partnership and Support to enable restore sanity to the fagile Communities.
Thank you.
