Smart Interactions for SDGs (piloting)
Achievement at a glance
PILOT STAGE. Our foundation received 64 LOIs of local communities from 21 regions of Ukraine to participate in SI pilot implementation for SDGs 16.7, 8.9, 1A. Six of them (from 6 different regions) were selected on the basis of the assessment results of their (local authorities and NGOs) preparation for the pilot aimed at SDG16.7 (in particular, participatory decision-making). Timeframe: 01.10.19 - 01.02.2020. Main part of the pilot was conducted thanks to support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine. As a result pilot communities increased in a several fold the level of transparency of local budgets, the level of accessibility of participation in decision-making and local budgeting, the level of participation, the number of identified and addressed local issues and so on.Challenges faced in implementation

Besides impressive results after piloting we've also received very important feedback and recommendations of users what and how we can improve IT-tools. Now we are in a fundraising process to upgrade developed original IT-tools to their needs.\r\nOn the other hand we've collect necessary information to develop new original mechanisms for SDGs 1A and 8.7. We've already developed a kind of their concepts. Now we are conducting online webinars for potential partners from other countries/continents to share information and create new partnerships for common piloting innovative mechanisms aimed at SDGs 1A and 8.7 (as well as 16.7).Beneficiaries
