Achievement at a glance
The study 'Larger than Tigers: Inputs for a strategic approach to biodiversity conservation in Asia was launched in May 2018. It provides analysis in support of a strategic approach to halting environmental degradation and biodiversity loss in Asia. It includes a regional section on the Marine ecosystems, with a particular focus on the Coral Triangle (https://ec.europa.eu/europeaid/larger-tigers-inputs-strategic -approach to -biodiversity -conservation in Asia was launched-asia-regional-reports_en ).This study complements the 2016 publication entitled Larger than Elephants and that analyses the scale of the crisis that Africa faces due to the threat to ecosystems, natural resources and wildlife and identifies priority areas for conservation efforts.
Beneficiaries
The reports will further help the EU and the partner countries to make informed decisions when developing policies, plans and programs at national and regional level; and to mainstream biodiversity and ecosystems conservation into the actions.
