Progress report for
INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUES THROUGH BEAUTY AS A LANGUAGE OF PEACE
Achievement at a glance
The project goal is to promote integrated activities aiming to defy fractured and fragmented modern perspectives, bringing together artists, and thinkers, to collaborate to inspire their audience to piece together a whole view of the world. The International Arts Movement, through this project, intends to further the Sustainable Development Goal 16 Peace, justice and strong institutions, in particular target 16. A.
All goals set in 2016 have been met and targets achieved, except a Symposium on “Creativity and autism: a vision within”, which was postponed.
Challenges faced in implementation
A Symposium on “Creativity and autism: a vision within”, a panel of discussion involving prominent artists with autism (ex. Maria Iliou , Seth Chwast, and Daryl Hannah) could not be organized so far, because the invited participants were not available. It will be organized in the next two years.Next Steps
We propose a new plan to continue the project, creating a new Culture Care Award, to be assigned to an artist, among those exhibiting at the Venice Biennale, who exemplifies Culture Care values and can create a meaningful dialogue with the other artists and help to spread the message of peace through their art.Beneficiaries
The artists community and everybody who loves art and peace
