Progress report for
Awareness campaigns on the marine mammals in the Pelagos Santuary
Achievement at a glance
Progress made on awareness campaigns on the marine mammals in the Pelagos Sanctuary\\r\\n\\r\\n Several municipalities have signed the Partnership Charter of the Pelagos Sanctuary in 2018 and 2019 which means that we totalize more than a hundred signatories working in cooperation for the protection of marine mammals in the Sanctuary. Our goal is to improve our so-far made progress by having all Mediterranean municipalities sign our Charter by 2020!\\r\\n The Pelagos Agreement worked in cooperation with the Ramoge Agreement in September 2017 to increase the visibility of marine litters, organizing a broad colloquium. The research project included workshops and encounters between Mediterranean municipalities to promote new actions for the reduction of litter in protected maritime areas. The results of this project underline the progress we made in increasing the visibility of the issues regarding the pollution of the Sanctuary. 25 municipalities joined the colloquium to discuss the importance of meetings and communication events to inspire the implementation of new eco-friendly measures. The event sheds light on the necessity to take actions in cooperation with various actors and to keep raising awareness on the need to protect marine mammals in the Pelagos Sanctuary!\\r\\nBeneficiaries
