In 2018 we have aligned all our strategies with the SDGs. This work can be verified in each of the actions that we have carried out. Mainly, in 2018 we worked on our impact on SDGs 4 and 8 that are directly aligned with our core.

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth- January to June
BIAAF's International Young Designer Contest. In this edition, BIAAF has broken all possible records and has become an international reference for emerging design with 1673 enrolled participants, coming from 90 different countries. All of them have presented creations related to the world of art.
A large representation of young talent will attend the inauguration, with special delegations from the following international schools: Shenkar (Israel), Kyoto Seika University (Japan), Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion y Royal College of Arts (United Kingdom), Sask (Belgium) e IED Barcelona, among others.
SDG 4: Quality Education
- September: "Disobedient Bodies: The Reimagined Human Form" the new BBK and BIAAF training project for fashion designers at Central Saint Martin’s
Young designers with their research should inspire and inform creative developments by cutting shapes, building them, making samples, prototypes, developing surfaces and developing your designs both on mannequin and on paper. Using one of these starting points, they will create a contemporary, innovative and relevant collection, inspired by the interpretations and personal conclusions that they have reached throughout the exploration carried out for the creation of their portfolio.
- November: Looking for sustainable alternatives makes us more creative: Elisa Palomino, lecturer at Central Saint Martins, visits Bilbao for the European sustainable fashion conference organized by BIAAF and the British Council in collaboration with BBK and BIDC.
