Social Forestry : Planting 300 Million Trees Every Year
Achievement at a glance
1.Planted 10 million tree saplings.<br>
<br>2.Survived 7 million plants

<br>3. Started Highway/roadside plantation in other province of India other than Bihar, which is Jharkhand, West Bengal.

<br>4. Created nursery of 1 million plants spread over 1000 Gram Panchayat of India.

<br>5. Engaged more than 0.1 million people in campaign.
Challenges faced in implementation
We have faced issues like:<br>
<br>1. Irregular funding support
<br>2. lack of awareness among people about climate change
<br>3. Less no of skilled manpower for tree sapling keeping
<br>4. Systematic Corruption in implementation of social forestry program under national rural employment guarantee act, Govt. of India
<br>5. Absence of Geo tagging facility
Beneficiaries
Beneficiaries are :

<br>Widows, Women, and people from most marginalized community as we engage them as gardener and nursery growers. We have also engaged more than 4000 people to produce bamboo tree guard , bio compost and Bio Pesticide.
Actions
Training for tree sapling maintenance and gardening, nursery raising to women and most marginalized & vulnerable communities in locality. We have also<br>created forward market linkage to sell tree produce. We have formalized process of ownership transfer to the plant keeper. We also installed handpumps, water carrying trolley for watering of tree saplings.
