Achievement at a glance
(1) As of end of 2017, the Pacific Heritage Hub (PHH) status has changed from UNESCO Project to a section/unit within the Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Law and Education, USP. (2) Two new programmes have been approved by USP Council in May 2018 (1) Professional Certificate in Heritage Management; (2) BA Major in Pacific Studies, Heritage and the Arts. (3)Two large research project bids/grants currently in development phase (1) UK Hub Oceans Grant coordinated by Dr. Gilliane Brodie, USP. (2) Consortium proposal between ANU, Latrobe and Oceania Centre on Centre of Excellence for Environment, Culture and Change. (4) • Seminars: Our Sea of Islands Seminar Series x 6 (March 2018, April 2018, June 2018, August 2018, October 2018, November 2018) • Conference: Vuku ni Pasifika (11-14 June 2018) (in collaboration with PTC, FNU and PIANGO) • Conference: Leadership Pacific (2-3 July 2018) (in collaboration with VUW) Conference: Vaka Pasifika – Rethinking Pacific Education ( 5-6 July 2018) (USP hosted) \r\n• Symposium: Rediscovering our Oceania (11-12 September 2018). \r\nChallenges faced in implementation
