Achievement at a glance
CoopeSoliDar R.L together with the Marine Responsible Fishing Area Network has been carrying out actions towards the recognition of rights of fisher communities and mollusk gatherers in Costa Rica as well as strengthening their capacities towards the discussion related to marine conservation within others. Issues like non-formal productive activities, decent work, subsidies, value chain and gender work recognition within others have been part of the collective discussions.<br>
<br>The network also actively participated in the project of law for the implementation of the Guidelines for sustainable use of small scale fisheries in the context of food security and poverty eradication which has been presented to the Congress now. Regional meetings in both Pacific and Caribbean coast of the country had been developed with the support of FAO towards the presentation of the final project of law that was presented and that now will follow the Legislative discussion process.
