Progress report for
BabyWASH Coalition
Achievement at a glance
The BabyWASH Coalition held meetings at the World Bank Spring meetings and the UNC Water and Health conference. We finalized an advocacy document and a programme guidance document and published them on our website. In March 2018, the BabyWASH Coalition merged with the Clean, Fed & Nurtured Community of Practice to form the Clean, Fed & Nurtured Coalition. The new Coalition has completed an updated Charter and workplan, which outlines programme guidance and advocacy strategies.Challenges faced in implementation
Since the Clean, Fed & Nurtured Coalition is a voluntary partnership, it can be difficult to secure consistent involvement and participation in working groups. However, people seem committed to the cause of more consistent integration between sectors and we are hoping that the merger will allow for increased energy behind our Coalition efforts.Next Steps
The next steps for the Clean, Fed & Nurtured Coalition include initiating working groups to focus on collaborating with the Nurturing Care Framework, considering beneficial webinar topics, thinking through integration across various sectors, and processing the results of the WASH Benefits and SHINE trials. Our three main objectives as a merged Coalition are to:

1) Establish technical leadership and fuel collaboration

2) Develop lessons and guidance for programme integration

3) Advocate for stronger focus on integrated care for children in the early years
