Achievement at a glance
In March, 2017, the Ocean KAN formed a development team to further its goals. The Development Team has held four meetings and is hosting an in-person meeting in February 2018 at the AGU Ocean Sciences Meeting, where we will also host a Town Hall further to engage ocean scientists into action-oriented research. The Ocean KAN is also currently forming working groups on important ocean knowledge-action topics, both topical and cross-cutting; the Development Team will continue to meet in order to ensure that ocean research and action is coordinated and integrative, rather than siloed. The Ocean KAN Development Team is also coordinating actively with other Future Earth Knowledge-Action Networks to share lessons learned and to engage on cross-cutting SDG topics.
