Achievement at a glance
Now we have analysed waste water and articles and could state that the sources of hazardous substances look very similar in all involved cities around the Baltic Sea, and probably this holds also for other municipalities. We have started the actions in municipalities with increasing awareness among municipal employees, businesses and inhabitants. We have also started to define what articles and products to focus on, and have also started to identify the obstacles - what is needed to get a society with less hazardous substances, involving municipal entities, businesses and inhabitants. The tools environmental labelling and green procurement need development. We have produced the first outlines of Chemical Action Plans for each municipality.
