In its efforts to contribute to tackling climate change and sustainable development, WIPO developed WIPO GREEN, a marketplace that promotes innovation and diffusion of green technologies.

It consists of an internet platform where businesses and public bodies around the world can register their needs, and/or their green technologies that they are willing to transfer for reasonable consideration, that encourages green technology transfer. We operate through a network of Partners, now exceeding 75 Partners from around the world, over 2400 technology and needs from 40+ countries, over 5000 network members, and nearly 10,000 page views per month.
Given that technology transfer deals may require the inputs from a range of actors, WIPO GREEN developed an Experts Database to bring together technology seekers and providers together with professionals in assurance and advisory services, business, engineering, finance, intellectual property, law and more are all encouraged to sign up. Companies can register for free on the database to promote their services (www.wipo.int/green). The Experts Database which will be launched later this year.
