Progress report for
IPNAMME
Achievement at a glance
IPNAMME continues to expand and build new models to send transformation ripples across the world. Collaboration expands to universities and local communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.- Fund has been secured through a complex collaboration integrating permaculture principles and techniques into the heart of conservation with livelihood and gender equality implications.
Collaboration with Permaculture Association Britain (UK), CABI (International), University of Paraku (Benin), and Matubo Society (Zimbabwe) as well as REDRC to build models of sustainable abundance to send ripples of positive change.
Challenges faced in implementation
Unlike business-as-usual, the interest of global civil society doesn't enjoy the same level of protection - if any. Additionally, as the Network continues to link members/partners and reaches out for more partners, each member stays independent in terms of finance and governance, this permits reciprocity and solidarity but limits the network's ability to carry out big-scale global ventures. We continue to design innovative solution for collaboration. Capacity building must include a complex network of collaborator and successful alignment of objectives for win-win situations. It also entails building economically viable models with a positive impact on people and the environment. The ultimate quest for interdisciplinary collaborative actions and complementary qualifications.Next Steps
