IGEN ENERGY99CHALLENGE
Achievement at a glance
In the year 2022, the #igenEnergy99challenge version1.0 was launched, and progress was being made until September 2023. There are 25 engineering institutions participating in the project, with 560 students and 150 staff members registered. A total of 245 students and 75 staff members completed the project and received the IGEN SDG Action Award.245 college students and 75 staff members were trained on Domestic Energy Audit and Implementation to reduce Energy Tariff. 245 students visited 3500 homes in the southern part of India to raise awareness and implement the #green9mantras.
Project completion certificates and carbon credit certificates were presented at award functions held in Coimbatore, Nagercoil, and Chennai.

Challenges faced in implementation
During the project's execution, we have been satisfied with the student and staff volunteers. We are lagging in the sponsorship support to present the winners appreciation award and training for staff members.Next Steps
