Mutale Chilangwa
A Zambian American, Mr. Chilangwa has 27 years of international development experience in agriculture, economic development, trade, governance and health sectors. Mr. Chilangwa is currently a Director of Business Development for Heifer International, a global none profit a global nonprofit working to eradicate poverty and hunger through sustainable, values-based holistic community development. At Heifer, Mr. Chilangwa is currently serving as a Business Development Director for the Business Development and Partnership team assisting with pursuit and capture efforts targeting donor funded opportunities focused in improving livelihoods, economic growth and women empowerment.
Prior to this position, Mr. Chilangwa’s work experiences include working for both NGOs and for-profit consulting firms serving in senior leadership positions in business development, project management and technical delivery for opportunities/projects in diverse developing countries ranging from conflict, fragile to emerging markets. Mr. Chilangwa’s work experiences has enabled him to work and travel to 24 African countries and over a dozen countries in the Latin America and Caribbean region, Europe, and the Middle East. On a personal interest, Mr. Chilangwa partially grew up in Amman, Jordan—where his father worked for UNRAWA for almost 15 years until his retirement from the United Nations in the mid-1990s.
