Ms. Vibeke Oestreich Nielsen

Vibeke Oestreich Nielsen has more than 12 years of experience working on capacity development within statistics. She joined the UN Statistics Division in 2018 as an Inter-Regional Adviser on Statistical Training and Capacity Building in the Development Data and Outreach Branch. A key activity in the work is to support capacity development on SDG monitoring among the National Statistical Systems in countries. Linked to goal 16, Vibeke has worked many years on issues related to statistics on forced displacement. Before joining UNSD, Vibeke worked at the Division for Development Cooperation at Statistics Norway where she was responsible for several bilateral development projects in statistics.
