
Ms. Joann Lee

Joann Lee is an environmental and gender specialist with extensive experience in UN intergovernmental processes. She studied international relations at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and received her law degree at Cornell Law School. She practiced environmental law for several years before joining the UN system to work on climate change and sustainable development issues. She is currently a programme analyst with UN Women, focusing on monitoring and reporting under the 2030 Agenda at the global and national levels, including the voluntary national reviews, and providing substantive support in relation to various processes under the General Assembly -- particularly the Second Committee -- the Economic and Social Council and the Commission on the Status of Women.
