Ms. Gillian Marcelle

Ms. Gillian Marcelle, PhD leads Resilience Capital Ventures LLC, a boutique capital advisory practice specializing in blended finance. She is also an innovation scholar and published author whose contributions and perspectives on diversity, inclusion, accountability, and alignment with the SDGs are becoming influential. She has held staff roles in JP Morgan Chase, British Telecom, and the IFC, and was a tenured Associate Professor at Wits Business School, Johannesburg. She maintains deep and wide professional and academic networks in the US, including a research affiliation with MIT; in Europe with SPRU, University of Sussex; across the African continent; and in the Caribbean. Dr Marcelle has developed the Triple B Framework as a conceptual framework for mobilizing additional capital and reducing misallocation. She is actively bridging the worlds of innovation, finance, economic development, advocacy, and public service, including by serving as a member of the WEF Global Future Council on SynBio and through regular engagement with the UN system and other key intermediaries.
