Mr. Marco van der Ree

Marco van der Ree is Director Business Development and Fundraising of EIT Climate-KIC, Europe’s leading public – private climate innovation community. He has multi-sector work experience in environmental and development issues, having worked in partnership with governments, the UN, civil society organizations, the private sector, foundations and academic institutions. From 1999-2015, he worked for different UN organizations, in Africa and globally, lastly as Chief Partnerships of UN Volunteers leading a team on global fundraising, partnership and outreach, including global campaigns on sustainability and volunteering. More recently he founded the company Brokering Solidarity, providing consultancy services and developing projects bringing organizations and communities together around sustainability and solidarity. He also worked as a Senior Advisor with CSCP (Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production) an online SDG12 training course in partnership with UNSSC, and several projects on sustainable lifestyles and digitalization.
