Mr. Juan Carlos Lastiri Quirós is Deputy Secretary for Perpective,Planning and Evaluation, Ministry of Social Development, Mexico. He is responsible for planning, designing and evaluating actions for social development, so as to ensure their conformity with the poverty reduction goals of the National Development Plan. Prior to his present position, Mr. Lastiri has served as a parliamentarian at the federal and local levels. For his native State of Puebla, Mexico, he has served as Secretary for Social Development. He has also held the post of Technical Secretary of the National Commission for Social Development. Mr. Lastiri holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the Autonomous University of Puebla.
