Mr J.P. Cayol, M.Sc., Ph.D
Mr J.P. Cayol, M.Sc., Ph.D, is the Departmental Programme Coordinator for the Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In the past almost 30 years, Mr Cayol held several research and development, technical and managerial positions at the IAEA, at the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) as well as in the private sector, in fields related to nuclear techniques in agriculture and health, management of technical assistance in the Middle East and management of operational projects in the field. He holds a PhD in Animal Biology and he is, by education, a specialist of the Sterile Insect Technique, a nuclear technique applied to control insect pests of economic significance. He is the author of over 50 scientific publications.
